Estimating Pressure Washing Jobs

by: http://www.PressureWashingBusiness.com

One of the most important sections of our Pressure Washing Business software is the “Estimating & Bidding” chapters. Estimating and Bidding can be very difficult concepts to master for many pressure washing and power washing business owners. Without proper estimating skills by the business owner, money is lost by improper pricing strategies.

If you are new to the Pressure Washing Business, you might find pricing a difficult process. Though you are in business to make money, you probably find that customers often try to talk you down on your price and you often make less money for your work.

When we started our business in 1992, we found that pricing was a difficult challenge. We lowered our prices to gain customers. We felt that we had to compete with our competition by offering lower prices. While our customer list grew rapidly, our profits were much less than they should have been because we didn’t understand how to properly price our services.

Proper Pricing Helps Us All

Our Pressure Washing Business software package was designed with a heavy emphasis on bidding and estimating. Proper pricing is an important concept to learn if you want to make great money in the pressure washing industry. Our goal is to help the entire pressure washing industry. Getting rid of “lowball” prices helps us all make more money and do better jobs for our customers.

In addition the the bidding and estimating tutorials included with the package, we have also developed very useful Pressure Washing Estimating Software. Helps you price your work on a job-by-job basis. Developing an effective pricing strategy means that you never have to lose money again by giving lowball prices.

The Pressure Washing Business course is on sale right now through our main website. It is a very affordable option if you are new to the business and want to run a successful and profitable Pressure Washing operation.

Knowing What Your Pressure Washing Customers Want – The Rule of Three

http://www.PressureWashingBusiness.com

How many times have you finished a pressure washing job and been proud of your work only to have your customer complain that the job wasn’t performed up to expectation? Many Power Cleaning business owners feel similar frustration when their hard work is dismissed by the customer.

In a management seminar last winter, I learned about the ‘rule-of-three’ and I would like to pass along a bit of the information. The rule-of-three states that you must ask a customer the same question (or a series of similar quesitons) three times before you can begin to feel confident that you have an understanding of the correct answer.

This rule applies very well to the Pressure Washing Business. Too often, customers are very vague with their descriptions of the work to be performed. Without proper knowledge of the exactly what the customer wants, you are left guessing at the exact nature of the work to be done.

Miscommunication leads to mispriced work and mismatched expectations. Bad communication is bad for business.

If you are just starting your Pressure Washing Business or if you are already operating a Pressure Cleaning Business knowing what questions to ask will lead to better communication and understanding between you and your customers. Following the rule-of-three will help you nail down the exact nature of the work to be performed so there is no miscommunication between you and your clients.

If you feel that miscommunication sometimes interferes and causes problems with your customers, you can prevent this by developing a better strategy of asking your customers a few simple questions so you are sure of the work they are asking you to perform.

If you want to communicate better with your customers, our Pressure Washing Business package includes a customer relations section that will help you build professional rapport with your customers. In the long run, better communication leads to smoother customer visits and, ultimately, more money for your Pressure Washing Business.

Power Washing Business – 2010 is a great time to Start Your Business

Power Washing Customers are looking for Professional Pressure Cleaning Companies

2010 is in full swing and the warm summer months are here. Right now is a great time for you to start your own pressure washing business or expand an existing business. Even if you run another service-based business such as a lawn care business or other service based business, pressure washing is a great add-on service you can sell to your existing customers.

Pricing is a difficult strategy to master. If you are trying to make money by offering pressure washing services, you need to be sure your pricing is in-line with your customer’s expectations. If you are charging too much money for your services, you might be turning away potential customers. On-the-other-hand, if you are under charging for your cleaning services then you are leaving money on the table and not making the money you deserve for your work.

We have included the estimating software in our Pressure Washing business package. This pricing software will help you get your quotes in line so you can give your customers more effective bids on their pressure washing jobs.

We have a sale price right now on the business package. Check it out on our website:

Estimating Pressure Washing Jobs

http://www.PressureWashingBusiness.com

Estimating pressure washing jobs is one of the more difficult tasks in running your own pressure washing business.

If you underbid jobs, you might get a lot of customers but you risk losing money or, at least, leaving money on the table.  Especially with a new business, each and every customer needs to produce a profit for your company.  Another risk of improper estimating is overbidding.  Overbidding is damaging to your business because customers will find someone else to do the work.  If you get a reputation for being too high on your bids, customers will stop calling.

Since estimating is such a difficult task for new and growing Pressure Washing Business owners, we have included estimating software in our Pressure Washing Business software package.  The estimating software is very helpful in calculating prices based on your inputs.

The video below shows an example of using the pressure washing estimating software to calculate a price on a small patio.  The software is very versatile and can be used for small jobs and it scales up nicely to help you estimate much larger power washing jobs.  We have a sale price on the complete Pressure Washing Business package right now, visit our main website for more information:
